About the Speaker

Dr. H. Ali Yurtsever was born in Ankara, Turkey in 1967. He received his B.S. degree in Physics from Bogazici University, He joined the Mathematics Department of Fatih University, Istanbul, as Assistant Professor of Mathematics in 1999 and has taught at Florida International University, Miami. Dr. Yurtsever has been a Research Scholar at Georgetown University since 2004, the same year in which he attained national prominence as President of the Rumi Forum in Washington D.C., a position he held until September 2009.
